/SAPAPO/HEU_PLAN_SAFETY_STOCK does not consider SZ method

Dear Experts,

I have this observation that /SAPAPO/HEU_PLAN_SAFETY_STOCK considers only SB method.

I have maintained setting in version '000' for LC req. generation and maintained both safety days and safety stock value.

The heuristic SAP_PP_018 algorithm /SAPAPO/HEU_PLAN_SAFETY_STOCK is generating requirement for SB menhod only even when safety stock = 1 and safety days supply = 25 for a requirement of 5000. It does not consider SZ or SM method. The SAP note says that all static methods are considered.

    Hi ,

    The standard saftey stock heuristics generates requirement element of order category SR for SB method only in the product view. For SZ method the demand is considered in advance as per number of the days specified in the product master.

    For dynamic methods , there is a seperate BADI which needs to be implemented.

    Hi VS03,

    Try BAdi /SAPAPO/RRP_SFTY_STK (method UPDATE_IO_NODES).

    If your usage is in PPDS, then You can only use this option in the standard

    system for make-to-stock production and static safety stock methods (SB and SM).
