Hello Guys,

I am implementing Real Time Consolidation on S4 HANA on premise 1610 Release stack 02(05/2017) FP.

I have performed the below:

1. Uploaded the LC data in the system.

2. Then I ran the Currency Translation at S4 HANA layer in RTCCT. The results are as below:

3. Then I ran the Elimination and Adjustment Business rule in which Integration rule runs first. The result for Integration rules is below at the Consolidation group level:

4. The result of Elimination and Adjustment rule is as below at Consolidation group and at different audit level:

While I do understand the result of first 3 steps, I am not able to interpret the meaning of 4th step.

In here, System has posted a reversal entry for individual account(0010160101,0020240002). Also system has posted the same entries in Destination group account 20241501.

Now before the running the Elimination and Adjustment business rule, trial balance is balanced after running currency translation at Non Group level. After running the Elimination, system has just posted the reversal entry in individual accounts and same entries in offset account(0020241501). How will the user read this result? How to report this result to the user?

Hi Shubham,

Based on your question:

Now this offset account(20241501), user is asking that he does not want to report it in their statements. How can we do this?

There are multiple approaches you should test since we are not well-aware on design and impact of the changes to your group consol:

  1. You can remove number #2 business rule.
  2. You can remove 0020241501 from GL hierarchy used by financial statements.
  3. You can change 0020241501 to a statistical account which is not included in the statement GL hierarchy.

Hi Gregorio,

Thanks for your reply!!

Below are my comments:

1. System performs elimination even though we don't have entry of debit and credit in Intercompany transactions from both side. This means that system performs one sided elimination also. So lets say user has only loaded the payables between two companies and not the receivables, then also system will perform one sided elimination. In that case, if we remove the rule 2, then it would lead to an unbalanced entry into the system which will be wrong.

2. Since I am performing RTC in 1610 FPS2, if I remove the account 0020241501 from the FSV, then I cannot use this account at all in the business rule. I need to have an offset account to balance the entries. This is also an indication of the total amount eliminated from 1 side.

3. Any account outside of the FSV hierarchy cannot be used in the Business rule.

Hi Victor,

I understood the concept.

My we are eliminating between the payable and receivables with 100% offset.

Now this offset account(20241501), user is asking that he does not want to report it in their statements. How can we do this?

I am attaching the elimination snapshot.
