Hi,
I have a bizarre situation here. I have configured SAPconnect on our SolMan system which is EHP1. I have configured it in client 000 and did a test connection and it works. I sent an email to myself using business workplace and i can see in SCOT that there is an email waiting. Although the job is running every minute, it seems that every job is skipping the waiting emails. I ran the job from SCOT and message says "no messages sent". Anyone know why this is? I have configured it successfully on another system and it works fine. At times the messages do get sent but there is a huge delay of possibly an hour or more. the jobs run every minute succesfully and job log says:
Job started
Step 001 started (program RSCONN01, variant SAP&CONNECTALL, user ID DDIC)
Start send process SAPCONNECT ALL SEND on server <hostname> in client 000.
End of send process SAPCONNECT ALL SEND. Number of selected objects: 0
Job finished
your help would be very much appreciated.
Mani
Hi Mani,
Any reason why you have configured SCOT in 000 client ?
Thanks
Anil

Hi All,
I would just like to share about the issue.
I also encountered this error that there is a huge delay on my email after configuring the sapconnect in SCOT.
I have fixed this issue by adjusting the time zone of the system thru tcode STZAC.

Hi Mani,
I will kill the job, deactivate the job in 000 and reactivate it in 001 and see what it does.
If you have done scot configuration in 000 then you have configure the job in SCOT for SAPconnect in 000 client only.
if it is 001 then you have to do in 001
Thanks
Anil

Anil,
I have realized what the cause of the problem is. For some reason it is adding an extra hour to the send time in SOST. Not sure why but i checked the default values of the admin user which was set to CET which i changed to our local time setting but it is still adding an hour onto the send time. Any ideas why?
Mani
Hi Mani,
Mail are getting deliveried , but it is getting delivered very late.
Can you also check is there any problem from SMTP side.
1. when you send mail from SAP and after that when job get trigger at same time tell mail server administrator to check whether he is getting hit on mail server or not
2. Between what time difference the job is getting trigger ( i.e every 1 min or 10 min )
Also check exact after 10 min job is getting trigger or it is getting delayed.
Thanks
Anil

Hi Mani,
My last question regading the client was because SCOT configuration is Client Dependent
Thanks

Hi Mani,
In txn SOST one fo the emails waiting in there since yesterday says:
22.10.2009 15:05:28 Document sent
22.10.2009 15:05:28 Wait for communications service
in which client you have check the above status
In which client you are running the tcode SOST and you are getting above output.
Thanks

Hi Anil,
SAPconnect has been configured in client 000 using DDIC. Before it was configured in 001 but i was still getting the issue that is why i decided to configure in 000, as i read some of the forums when i came across the issue saying it should be done in 000.
this status of the emails from SOST, i have given was taken from client 001
and the job log was taken from Client 001 as well.
I have never come across this issue before so i was wondering to get SAP in to check it out. are there any parameters i need to look at? SMTP has been configured in SMICM and there is a parameter set in profiles pointing to 25 for SMTP.
Mani
Hi,
Can you check the job log start time & end time.
When the job start & when the job end.
need to check whether job start late or job is taking long time.
Thanks

From SM37 the job log for one of the jobs says:
23.10.2009 12:20:23 Job started
23.10.2009 12:20:24 Step 001 started (program RSCONN01, variant SAP&CONNECTALL, user ID DDIC)

23.10.2009 12:20:24 Job finished
it barely takes a seconf from start to end
