Thanks Dilip,
I have assigned the stabdard Batch search strategy to the order type.
In my scenario, there are two order types.
One for FG,
One for SFG,
FG= SFG+Packing Materials,
SFG=Raw Material,
In case for Raw material & SFG, I want the system to check as per the FEFO system & for Packing material by FIFO.
But at when I try to do the auto batch determinationn The system is not able to find any material, although there is stock availbale.
please advice.
Regards,
HI
R u getting any error or warning message.
here are the settings for batch determination
1. Define strategy type and assign it to search procedure in customization
2.Assign this search procedure to order type in customization
3.Define Sort Rule in tran CU70
4.Define batch search strategy in COB1. here in this you assign class and sort rule
when defining batch search strategy for FG order type assign SFG material and for SFG order type assign Raw material.
And also select dialog batch determination. if it is selected in foreground it will show the batches. if no batches are selected in the forground screen you can analyse the error.
if still u r not getting any batches chech the characteristic values.
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
AS suggested by Dilip,
go to Compnent ovevrview of the Ordre , slelect the relevant batch managed compoenent,
then select Compoenet- Batch Management- Display Batch determination.
The system should give you a list of batches to select. Further click on the log icon in the application menu bar.
the log should give you an idea where the Batch determination is failing.
regards
Ratan
Hi Dilip & Ratan,
Thanks for your time.
Yes I have tried the method that Dilip has referred to. The system is telling that the "Does not correspond to selection criteria"
I know that there is some difference from DATE perspective. But how to solve it.
Actually I am having two batches of same material of different Production date & different SLED.But the system is picking only the latest batch, What I want is that the system should populate me all the avalaible batches.
Please advice.
Regards,
Vivek

Hi Dilip,
I checked the respective batch, which was not getting picked up during the batch determination. In the clasification veiw of the batch the values of the characteristics were not showing up.So I clicked the create push button,Now again on running the batch determination I can see the batch getting picked up.
Why such a behaviour.
Please advice.

Vivek
Hi
In batch search strategy we are giving selection criteria that is class and sort rule that is how the batches are to be sorted basing on the char.values. if no values are mention it will neglect the batch from the selection criteria. so batch should have values then only batches will be selected and sorted.
Thanks & Regards

Hi Dilip,
Thank you.
In my previous thread what I meant was that the batch master is not getting updated. So that's why during the determinationsystem cannot find the batch. So thats why I had to check the batch - classification view, the class was not showing any charateritics. Just adjacent to the class there is a Create Push button. On pressing it the values populated for the characteristic.
What I am thinnking is that the batch master is not getting updated.
Please advice.

Vivek
Hi,
when u r in giving values for characteristics. for raw material its at the time of GR. if user by mistake doesn't enter any vale then this prob comes. but at the same time it will give a warning msg. you can avoid this by making char as mandatory or change the message to Error.
if you r using SLED check for the SLED value in material master. and use standar char LOBM_VFDAT
Dilip Kumar
Hi Vivek,
what are the characteristics u r using. are they standard LOBM* or your own.
at what time you are giving values for the batch. check the transaction OMCV and for the required mvmt type select classification in forground. then make a gr it will ask for the char vales.
please try and revert.
Regards
Dilip
