Bydesign: Open Purchase Order with no end period

Hello Experts,

We need to create service purchase order without end validity.

How to achieve it? we get fixed bill per month.

Hi Vishal,

If you want to make the End Validity in Purchase Order to Unlimited, you can do it as shown below:

But as i can understand, you want a Recurring Purchase Order and this Functionality is not in SAP BYD till yet.

Symptom: You want to create a purchase order for a recurring expenses such as telephone bill. You can see a functionality to create a recurring invoice. There is no way or functionality to create a recurring purchase order that stays open from month to month.

Reproducing the Issue:

• Go to the Supplier Invoicing work center.
• Go to the Recurring Invoices view.
• You can see this functionality in Supplier Invoice.
• Now go to the Purchase Requests and Order work center.
• No options to create Recurring Purchase Order.

Resolution: In the current release, the functionality is available with Recurring Invoices only and Recurring Purchase Orders is a new requirement. Hence the feature will be considered for a future release of SAP Business ByDesign.

Better you create the Recurring Invoice for your Fixed Bill Per Month.

Purchase order can only be automatically finished when all the purchased item quantity be delivered and totally invoiced. There is no particular

en period for a PO. If it's not fully delivered it would never be automatically closed.

As you mentioned you are getting a fixed bill per month, if the period is not fixed and the price is fixed, I would like to suggest you maintain a dummy quantity with a "huge" number and a fixed price for the PO item.

For example, item 1, net price: 1 EUR per month, quantity: 100,000 month. When you want to terminate the quantity, you can directly update the PO quantity to the delivered quantity and the PO delivery status will changed to Finished.
