In which cases unplanned posting run and repeat run used

Hi SAP Friends , Can any one clarify my doubt . I tried with one example After planned posting run completed with AFAB for the existing assets for the month of 31/08/2006 , all planned depreciations were posted, now I had created an asset with 01/01/2006 and re-ran the AFAB with Un-planned posting run for the asset,system giving an error message - posting already performed for the 008 th month ,so I checked with the repeat run , so the Dep run performed and posted the values for 01-08 months . After running the depreciation with planned posting run , and in which cases the Unplanned posting run and repeat run is used ? and ABAA ( Unplanned dep ) in what cases it is used

This is adequately documented in the SAP help as well as the F1 help on each field on the depreciation program.
