PO stuck with status Awaiting Approval

We have the following issue: for example a PO with 3 version (change 1, change 2 and active 3). when you display the PO in the portal you see the change 2 in status ... "Awaiting approval" but when you check the Approval table, it shows ... Approval process already finished, when you see in bbp_pd .. you see that the workflow items for change 1 and active 3, have status COMPLETED, but the change 2 have status ERROR.

If someone knows how to fix this ... the help would be appreciated.

please check the transaction swi2_diag , which gives all workitems which have run in to error.

you can restart the workitems which have run in to error , and that may solve the issue.

Hi Cardac,

do you mean to say change 2 is marked as closed , the woritem id for chnage 2 is shown as completed but status is still shown as "awaiting approval" and higher version 4 is not created ?

if that is the case , please check the set release method is complete for workitem id (change 2) , check in sm58 there is nothing in error related to workflow.

try executing the FM BBP_PD_PO_STATUS_CHANGE_WF. trying creating another event "SAVED" through SWUE.

Hi Iftekhar Alam,

I tried executing the FM BBP_PD_PO_STATUS_CHANGE_WF, at frist sight it seams to be solved, but the workitem id for change status at the begining is STARTED or ERROR, and after excuted the FM, the status STARTED remains, but the PO in SRM changes to Ordered and the changed go to R3, the problem I have now is that when I log on with a different user id (with less access) the same PO it's shown as deleted.

Hi Iftekhar Alam,

The change 2 is not in status closed, that why I see that change as the actual version instead of the active version 3.

We tried the FM but is still in awaiting approval.
