Hi All,
We are running CCM 2.0 in SRM 5 and are at SP 13
We would like to try and use asynchronous catalog processing as we have performance issues when using the CCM system.
The SAP note 920537 has already been implemented in our systems but the manual config settings have not been made.
Does anyone have any idea how to work out suitable values for:-
1. NO_OF_PARALLEL_PROC - currently blank so publishing is currently synchronous, we have one server group defined in RZ12
2. NO_OF_OBJ_PER_PROC - currently blank and as the notes says the system will use the package size selected for publication which is set at 5,000.
Anyone with any bad experiences of this processing would also be welcome to comment?
Thanks in Advance

Hi Allen,
As a sidenote - implementing parallel processing would not improve the access time of the CSE, it will only help in the processing of packages in the publishing and mapping/upload processes.
Best advice I can give on it ... if you do not need it, do not implement it. If your general catalog publishing and mapping happens quite quickly, stick to the current configuration.
Regards,
Jason
