When you searched for solutions to your problem, which solutions did you try and if they failed, then what was the error message or log contents?

Are you talking about the transitive attribute?

Just right click the masterdata in your attributes then MAINTAIN TRANSITIVE ATTRIBUTES.

If you want to add attributes externally i assume that you want to add attributes in the bex analyser itself it seems......if so then right click on the characteristics/infoobject the go to attributes tab and then select required attribute and drag to right sides then click ok...you will get it in the output.
