we have the following problem: When the sales desk creates orders, the scheduling is done with APO regarding stock levels and production capacities. This is important, because the sales personnel wants to confirm a certain delivery date to the customer. What is currently not possible is to take into account how the warehouse workload influences such a promised date. At can be that at the scheduled day by APO the warehouse has already so many deliveries to fulfill, that they can't process this additional delivery, because the docks where to load the trucks are already blocked for the whole day. Please note: the sales order is created a long time before the delivery, so it must be possible to do this calculation based on the current sales orders in the system with their promised delivery date. In WM I don't see such a solution - and we have also warehouses without WM activated. IS there a solution in SD or EWM for such a scheduling additional to APO?
