Error: Enter a value for the mandatory field in 'Activity Timeline'

Hi there,

I am trying to insert a new line on the “Activity Timeline” of the fine-tuning.

Business Configuration->Implementation Projects->Open Activity List->Fine-Tune->Opportunities->Maintain Timeline.

However, I had no luck on it. When I try to save the change, I receive the following message: “Enter a value for the mandatory field in 'Activity Timeline'”.

I also opened an Incident on SAP support and here is their answer.

"Thank you for contacting SAP Product Support.

The "Activity Timeline" fine-tuning activity only allows to activate/deactivate an existing activity (Task, Appointment, PhoneCall, Visit) and marking them as internal/external. It does not allow to add a new activity which is not already available. This is the reason why the "Add Row" is not offered out-of-the-box.

We will make a fix in the current release to ensure that the user is not able to add a row by clicking on a blank row.

To add a new activity in the "Activity Timeline" view is a development request which needs to be evaluated by Product Management."

Therefore, there is no way to insert a new line on the Activity Timeline.
