Master data is the general information of the account, using this concept you create GL master data for the specific account which you are using in your system to record the Financial transactions. For instance, you need to post the salary expenses, for the Salary expenses you will create the account in the system which you are going to post the values, called GL master data (GL Mater record). you can create the GL Master record Centrally by using Transaction code: Fs00. Here you need to put the general information related to Chart of account segment and Company code Segment.
