Updating a closed workorder.

Hi Gurus,

I hope I am not asking a very stupid question, but I am faced with a requirement to show Sales Grade in the IH08 which is populated in the system Conditons field in the Work order. The problem is that the sale grade can change even after the work order is closed and hence i wanted to ask if there is any way we can update a closed work order?

The process is too complex and if I am able to just update the system conditions I can avoid changes to a number of programs and to IH08.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the reply but do you think this can be automated using a bespoke program. The program would be triggered when ever a new Sale Grade is entered for the same equipment in the new work order. The program will do as you said and then close it again. is that possible?

If you are using ECC6, then it may be possible to change IH08 to include the required functionality using the Enhancement Framework - talk to your ABAP team.

Otherwise, simply copy the IH08 program and make the necessary changes.
