Hello Friends,

As we all know that SDN provides MaxDB community editiion for testing for Non-SAP use or demo use.

Is it possible to test an upgrade of MaxDB from 7.6 version to 7.7 version using this community edition on PC ?

As I read the SAP MaxDB upgrade guide from service.sap.com, I hope almost same procedure can be applied except the fact that SAP application will not be there and process will be restricted to 'Database' specific steps.

I am not sure where we use MaxDB database except in SAP applications like R/3 etc and content server/liveCache technology etc. But, like we can do DB2 upgrade/migration without any application on it using IBM documentation, I am in hope that same thing we can test with MaxDB too to enhance our knowledge in this database.

Please advise.
