Hi Gurus,
I tried to convert a workbook which is in BW 3.5 that has two variants, to BI 7.0 Workbook. But on converting and going to the variant list, i could see that those two variant which is in BW 3.5 workbook is not displayed in BI 7.0.
Let me know, why is it not getting converted or displayed. Do we have any settings to be done or any procedure needed to be followed.
Let me know how to get back those variants, as the user has to use it. Do we need to create manually. Any suggestions are aprreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
Have you used the report 'RSR_VARIANT_XPRA' to restore the variants?
Also, check out the SAP Notes on this topic:
1003481 Variant Migration - Migrate all variants
1121557 no text for variants in the 3 .X Analyzer
1049782 Migrated variants are shown but not usable
1075807 New button for user variants in the 3.X variable
The way variants are stored in the 7.0 environment is different to the 3.x system. This means that variants that are available in RSRT won't be available in BEX and vice versa. BUt if you created a variant in the 3.x system and migrated it, then it should be showing in the 7.0 system. However, this doesn't hold for workbooks.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Karen
