Hi Poornima,

Answers to your questions below..

- Finished Material alone have PIR or the BOM materials also should have PIR?

PIR is not restricted to any material type. But for your question, there is no Impact of BOM PIR in subcon PO.

- Is it necessary that BOM materials should have the Material type ROH Raw materials?

Not necessary. As per the business requirement BOM materials can be of other material type as well.

- While creating ROH material is it standard or MAV price?

It can be of anything, as per the business requirement. SAP given option to configure material type price control either V or S.

POINT :1 PIR IS INDEPENDENT OF MATERIAL TYPES .

THERE IS NO RELATION WITH BOM AND PIR . ITS NOT COMPULSORY , NO EFFECT ON RESULT .

POINT 2 ; ITS INDEPENDENT OF PARTICULAR MATERIAL TYPE .

POINT 3 : AS PER REQUIREMENT , WE WILL USED IN PRICE CONTROL TYPE .

Hi,

1) PIR may be required for finished material, since we make PO on that material with sub-contracting vendor.

2) As Vijay said, BOM components may be of any type (e-g we may send a semi-finished product to a vendor for modification)

3) Raw material may be mostly having price control 'V', since we procure from competitive vendors. But it may also be of type 'S',

as per the company's requirement/procedures.
