Hello,
I'm investigating various integration options to 3rd party training vendors and Single Sign On is one of them. Based on conversations with various vendors they seem to take a simple approach and use little more than url formatting such as...
http://www.learning.com?UserID=doejn&courseID-12345
... there may be more parameters but you get the idea. So it's really simple to accomplish SSO to most vendors in terms of URL format if all we have to do is launch a static url, but it can't happen that way of course. Most of the integration materials have to do with AICC, SCORM, Web Services, etc. Most of the discussion around configuration of Companies, External Providers, etc is in the context of Service configuration in SPRO. How does SAP intend us to configure custom URL generation per training provider and course if services aren't being considered?
Any insights are appreciated.
Doug
Found this solution to override the existing service methods to provide what is needed for URL generation.
