Hi Team,

Can someone help me, How to create a Linux file layout / structure in order to install SAP ECC 6.0, EHP7. on Red Hat Linux.

Hi Shaik,

As mentioned above, if you need file system details to install SAP system then take a look at Hardware and software requirements area in installation guide. All these requirements are clearly mentioned in guide.

Generally you need /oracle/SID/release, /oracle/sid/client, /oracle/SID/sapdata* file systems for oracle DB home and database.

& /usr/sap/trans, /usr/sap/SID file systems to install SAP instance. There are few changes in file system layout from NW 7.4. Review document for more details.

Hi Shaik,

Hardware and Software requirements area in installation guide talks about all these FSs needed.

If your query is about "how to create a file system" then ask your storage/OS team to work on it OR Google is the best place to get an answer.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply, I have been installing and configuring in windows environment many times,

I did not come across in Linux environment, I have worked on Linux system. I have check installation guide from sap service market place but still I need some help. if you know how to create file structure and can you help me out that will be greatly appreciated.

Go to Service market place and download installation guide based on your environment, go thru that.
