Kapil,

Archiving process is like,

1. Setting the delete flag (can be reset)

2. Setting the final deletion indicator (cannot be reset) - Must have elapsed Residence 1 time.

3. Archiving ((writing the object to a sequential dataset) - Must have elapsed Residence 2 time.

4. Reorganizing and physically deleting it from the system.

Residence time you can check in the order type defination in transaction KOT2.

Residence time 1 determines the time interval (in calendar months) that must elapse between setting the delete flag (step 1) and setting the deletion indicator (step 2).

Residence time 2 determines the time interval (in calendar months) that must elapse between setting the delete indicator (step 2) and archiving (step 3).

For step 3 additionally basis settings should be inplace for the storing the data and also the required connectivity to it.

You can do all this steps from COAC or using the following programs,

1. Setting the delete flag & deletion Indicator - PRARCHP1

2. Archiving - PRARCHA1

4. Reorganizing and physically deleting it from the system - PRARCHD1
