Problems with Oracle 10.2.0.4 upgrade on AIX

On AIX 6.1 the /oracle/SCD/102_64/bin/oracle file is zero length after the 10.2.0.4 upgarde.

This is a new installation.

The 10.2.0.1 install (part of the SAP install) went well. The database & SAP were up & running.

I stopped SAP & Oracle and was upgrading to Oracle 10.2.0.4 and everything looked like it went okay. runInstaller finished okay. But oracle did not get complied.

Any advice or thoughts?

THe issue is resolved.

The oraInventory directory was trashed

I cleaned up the 102_64 & oraInventory directories, then started a celan install, and it worked!.

Hi,

Can you verify if your filesystem is not full ?

Or do you have enough right to this directory ?

Without logs it's impossible to help you.

you may try to

cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib
make -f ins_rdbms.mk ioracle
