STO and Sales Order availability check together

Deal all,

I have the following scenario: In our client Sales orders and stock transport orders are created from customers and plants respectively. We have set the STO scenario with delivery with 641-101 movement types. The scenario seems ok. However, in the availability check our client treats STO's and sales orders the same. So when the material is available the first request should be covered. In transaction v_v2 the rescheduling takes into account firstly the SO's and then the STO's.

I was thinking with my SD consultant if it is possible to create sales order for all requests but i cannot post the stock in transit form the delivery of a Sales order.

Does anyone has any ideas how to handle the issue?

Best Regards

Dear G thank you for your answer. I have customized the system in order to take STO's into consideration

but if with zero stock i create an STO and a sales Order CO09 shows only the SO.

The STO does not appear. As the notes indicates in CO09 only confirmed quantities are shown, but if i do not have stock the quantities are of course not confirmed. What i need is that STO's and SO's are treated exactly the same.

Any ideas?

STO's are not taken into consideration in ATP (CO09)

It depends on your ATP configuration. Have a look at OSS note 2195518

Hi Raj,

I would try to check your suggestion but i have an issue in oder to test it. STO's are not taken into consideration in ATP (CO09) so the sales order does not find it as a requirement. Do you have any ideas?

Hi,

V_V2 has option's to sort orders based on five different criteria. In your case the first sort criteria "Document category" should have been selected as "1". You can make it "0" so that system will not consider that option for sorting, whereas if I understand your requirement correctly, you can make "Date" as "1", so that based on "date of creation" or "earliest schedule line date" the confirmation will take place.

Raj

Hi Michelle thank you for your answer. SD order types you mean? Is it possible to perform this scenario through SD?

There are many different order types you could use. (If it's not exactly right then copy to Z* and set up the configuration) We were able to use the SAP order type without modifications. It does depend on your version. We have CBMO set up. Just look at your order types.
Then you just deliver it as normal.
