Content Server can't communicate with MaxDB server

Hi experts

• I have Content Server 6.5 and MaxDB 7.9 installed in separate hosts (client-server architecture)
• SAP ERP can connect to Content Server host without any problem
• Even though I can create Repositories, when I try to "Start it" I get a timeout error:

• ODBC drivers are installed in Content Server host to be able to communicate to MaxDB host.
• I can run telnet between hosts (CS and MaxDB)

• When I run odbcreg MaxDB -t command within MaxDB host it works

•

• However if I run it from Content Server host I get:

Root cause: JDBC drivers weren't able to communicate to MaxDB host because port 7200 was not opened.

Solution: Opened port 7200 in MaxDB host.
