How to Copy Assignment block and Remove button from Toolbar

Hello

The requirement is for CRM 2007 WebUI.

First requirement is to Copy an Assignment block e.g."Attachment" in Sales Order as a new Assignment Block just below the "Attachment " Assignment block, and Rename it with a new name?

This should appear in the order along with all the other Assignment Blocks in the order.

Second requirement is to remove the EDIT button from the Details Assignment Block of a Sales order so it is only in Display mode. The user should not be allowed to change any details.

Please guide on the issues.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

For your first question, I am not sure if you want the same functionality to be used or you want to modify it as well. In any case, you can not just copy and paste any assignment block, AB itself is a view, which when put into overview set, can be display in the form of an assignment block. You can re-use the view using component interface/usage. And you can copy the view completely and put it again in the same component, that will copy the underlying code as well, so it will refer to the same tables and BOL object as well.

Hope it helped. Also, try to put the exact scenario for experts to give a better reply.

Thanks,

Hi Rohit

Say for example in sales order we have 10 tab pages in that we have one tab for documents where we upload the document.

I want to copy the documents tab and rename it in the sales order. So now the sales order will have 11 tabs.

Is it that we need to first crearte a new tab in the GUI using EEWB then acitivate in WEB UI ?

Or please elaborate on the steps to follow.

Thanks and Regards

Masthan
