Notes for Approval in display mode

Hi Experts,

We are using SRM 5.0. In shopping cart order screen, field "Notes for Approval" is appearing in display mode. I believe as per standard settings this should be in change mode.

Please advise what could be the reason. I checked there is no BADI implemented and also no config settings. I even tried for OSS Notes but couldn't find any.

Hi Raj,

You could check the following customizing:

SPRO

Supplier Relationship Management

SRM Server

Cross-Application Basic Settings

Text Schema

Define Text Scheme

For shopping cart approval note, check the text schema definition for "SC".

Probably, this is the configuration:

Visible - For all Users

Changeable - Cannot be changed

Also, there is note 1305786, which refers to this issue.

Hello Raj,

Can you confirm that the user has got standard SAP role, e.g. SAP_EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE.

Might be an authorisation issue.

Hi Raj,

Unfortunately in all our systems the approval note is available. I wish it would be grayed out so I could test.

I'm sure you checked different users and different systems (e.g. Dev and Impact).

Without being able to re-produce the issue it's a bit difficult to advise.
