Portal shows $ sign instead of £ sign for salary

I need your help.

Portal shows $ sign instead of £ sign for salary.

How to change the default sign to £?

Hi Prakash,

We have implimeneted one of the scenior in our landscape.

Where our portal UME is backend system , the curreny set in backend system is DOLLAR & where 1 of my user i able to view the currency as GBP in portal .

This is done by using BADI , the functionality is provided for some specifiy application and not for whole system.

What is a datasource of you portal , is it abap backend system or portal database itself??

Hi Anil,

I've checked the DC, the data source is from model which retrieve data using RFC function call from back-end.

The currency value returned from backend is GBP, but i couldn't get any code implementation to map GBP to $ or £.

Do this related to locale service of portal configuration?
