Hi Guys,
I have a challenge: Install a ECC 6.0 with HR and an ERP 5.0 on the same Machine and Operational System. Do you know some documentation, link or tips for this type of case? Do I need run something different than a normal installation?
Best Regards,
Jader Coelho.
I think you can partition the drive, and install both of them separately.
becareful with the instance no, so that port is not in conflict...
just my points of view..
cheers,
Vincent

If you use difference database, there shouldn't have any problem.
However, if you use MCOD, I am not quite sure that the database schema for these two version within the same structure.

Hi Jader,
This should not be a problem at all, if you have enough RAM and space available.
Things to take into consideration:
1) make sure that the /etc/services file data is not mixed up for servers.
2) make sure that the redo log files (if you are using oracle) are in different destinations.
3) some TMS related settings if you are doing them..
All the best for your challenge.
Kind regards,
Hemanth

Hello Jader,
There is no technical limitation that prevents you from installing multiple sap system on the same physical machine. You donu2019t need to partition the hard drive either.
Just choose different SIDu2019s and instance numbers. Use the normal installation documentation.

Hi,
What OS are you going for....Windows / unix ?
Just make sure you have enough Memory CPU to facilitate both
and have enouge disk for the paging file.
Have you considered MCOD, and is there a reason why you want to run EEC6 and ECC5 why not just EEC6 for both.

Hi Mark.
I´ve read in some place that the main problem in installing two different sap versions in the same machine is that some windows updates can must be applied for the version 5.0, but not yet to the ECC 5.0. But I´ve never had problem or limitation with windows update. (my windows is Win 2003 standard 64x).
Anyway,
The guys from infra-structure decided to buy a new machine for the Ecc 6.0 and we don´t need anymore to install bouth in the same.
