Missing fields in some reports exported to PDF


We have noticed that in some of our reports, some fields are not displayed in the output file when we export to PDF. However, the same report exported to Word 2003 format shows all fields as expected.

We are running Crystal 2008 SP2 in an ASP.NET (.NET 2.0) application on Windows Server 2003.

I understand from other threads I have read that there are some known issues in the PDF engine in Crystal. For example:


Since this is not just a case of poor formatting or ugly presentation (i.e., the reports are actually losing data, and users could be making decisions based on incomplete data), I think this is a fairly serious bug.

Sorry in advance if I have misunderstood some aspect of the PDF export feature - but at least on the surface, it does seem pretty straightforward, so I don't see yet how I could workaround or fix the problem (aside from writing our own PDF export feature from scratch).

Any advice is much appreciated!
