Temporary Log not found - tp

I get the following error when trying to view the log of a transport in our BWP system.

######################################

Execution of programs after import (XPRA)

Transport request : BD1K907012

System : BP2

tp path : tp

Version and release: 340.16.38 640

Temporary log
SDCSAPBD20\sapmnt\trans\tmp\BD1R907012.BP2 not found

Execution of programs after import (XPRA)

End date and time : 20091009153451

Ended with return code: ===> 0 <===

######################################

Why would it still look in the \tmp directory after the transport has been successfully moved into the target (BWP)?

Thanks for your help!

Sincerely,

-- Jackie

Hey Markus:

If I go through STMS and look at the logs, I still see the same. I went to STMS, chose the big truck, chose the SID, then the history and pulled up the request. When I double clicked on the request, I see the objects in the request and I did GOTO -> Transport Logs. Then when I double clicked on Method Execution, I see the same error.

Please help with any other ideas you might have.

Thanks for your help,

Markus:

This is not an upgrade, but rather it's a regular transport with the number BD1K907014. If I go into SE10 and display the transport logs for this transport and double click on "Method Execution", that is the error it gives me. I understand that it should take the file from tmp to logs, but I'm wondering why SAP is looking in tmp for that file even after the transport has completed.

Thanks,

Can you check the logs in STMS for the whole import?

You're looking at the "transport" logs of an XPRA - which is basically not a transport but a call in the system to execute programs in the background.

During an upgrade the logs are written into the tmp directory and later moved to the log directory.
