how to develop application inbox for all mails like in gmail

hi Masters ,

i want to develop one application , how it is - in gmail how we get mails in to inbox , like that when i click on inbox button, i want to see the mails from different persons. same as like in gmail.

Please can any one guide me how to develop the application. Reply will be highly appreciated.

I explain scenario for CE version due to inhance look and feel of the UI element (Could possible with 7.0 also)

1. Divide whole screen with T-Layout, Top part serve as header , Left as Static Navigation and right as content.

2. UI element at Left would be either list, tree, or Linkto action (formatted in such a way looks like independent)

3. Integration of Action with backend (RFC/BAPI/EJB) with route logic (which take care of display ot content specific to looged in user)

4. Futher , we can give some feel of personalozatio , customozation (up to certain extend)
