Hi
On a EP7 SP18 System, I am trying to test connection to LDAP server.
After entering the Required information i get the error:
Connection to LDAP Server Failed;Check User Credentials
User credentails are correct and we can login to the domain using the same credentails
from windows.
we had done a similar test previously and that time it worked perfectly.
we also did a ping test from portal server to LDAP server andit is also working fine.
what can be the problem ?

Rajendra

Hi
Back after Diwali Festival.
Thanks for all inputs.
We tested the connection with another Active Directory user and it is working fine.
so the problem is with the Active Directory user attributes.
we have asked the sytem admin of Active Directory to check what's wrong with
the First user for which we get the Error message.Once we get that info i will post it here.

Rajendra

Hi,
To understand why connection to LDAP from portal succeeds using one ID and fails using other ID,
we created one more Active Directory ID which is a copy of the ID with which the connection test succeeds.
we have an interesting situation here.
There are two Active Directory ID's .
LDAPUser01 and LDAPUser02.
LDAPUser02 is created as copy of LDAPUser01.
using LDAPUser01 the connection test is successful.
using LDAPUser02 the connection test fails..
whats wrong ????????

Rajendra
Hi Rajendra,
Create technical user in LDAP, have a look and check settings in System Administration -> System Configuration -> UME Configuration -> LDAP Server. In this place you can test connection with LDAP.
