Connect R3 production to SAP BW dev

Hello,

I set up R3 production as source system in SAP BW development and initialized delta (logistics).

Will it harm existing delta from R3 production to BW production?

Thanks

Hi,comandante:

All datasource has it's target logic system, you can check it in RSA7.

But this way is mot recommanded.you can copy ERP production system data to Test system by using client copy.

Best Regards

It might affetc the logistics datasources - otherwise most of the delta pointers are target system specific - should not be an issue...

Thanks

Looks like that logistic data sources are target specific as well (see copy paste from RSA7)

datasource BW system LWU

Do u still think it may effect logisticdata sources?

Hi..

If it has devided from production and behaving like a individual source system then it won't create any problem but if you are directly mapping R3 to development then it will effect. As for all Logistic data sources we will load based on LWU itself even though if we perform any modification on data with delta then it will effect. if the same data source in development is using during that time production system aslo using the same data source that will cause major problem. So good to seperate the sorce systems mean to say is production data shold be independent and test data shuold not be real time. it can be a copy but not real time.
