Hi Experts,
When creating SAP BW queries, we tend to break the key figure description text with a carriage return so that descriptions with long names arenu2019t unnecessarily stretched across the whole screen in BEx Analyser.
However, when basing universes on these queries the carriage return is represented as a square in Designer for those key figures / measures. For example: Not yet{}invoiced{}quantity.
This causes major problems when trying to perform summary calculations in WEBI or creating QaaWS for Xcelsius.
The solution has always been to remove the carriage returns from the source query. However, we have a lot of queries and those working with BEx donu2019t like us doing this and it doesnu2019t make sense to make duplicates without the carriage return.
Is anyone else having this problem and how can we fix it?
Kind regards,
Andrew

Hi,
I remmebered we have fixed an issue with carraiage return at WebI level last year.
I don't know if your issue is related to the one we fixed.
Which version of BOE are you using?
I will transmit your question to appropriate people.
Regards,
Didier

So far, I haven't found anything with the Business Objects / BW integration that would qualify as ideal. Way too many issues. BOE XI 4 next year I believe is supposed to have some new OLAP Universe type and I'm hoping that SAP can produce a better BW integration solution now that they have all the combined Bus Obj and SAP BW dev resources rowing together.
