Hi ,
I want to know is there any setting required for creating the PR automatically in background whenever we RUN the MRP , if it required some setting what are that settings.
regards,
zafar
Zafar,
When you talk about PR, it is always for procurement of a material (that can be inside or outside). But the procurement process can be initiated through PR first natuarally. But PR can be created manually and also Automatical (i.e, system generated when a MRP is carriedout).
For that the following is required to maintain (in the MMRecord):
--> Flag /Check the box of Automatic PO ( a field which is present in the Purchasing View of Material master record)
--> Maintain Purchase Group in the Material master record
--> Maintain MRP Views for the material master record
Certainly PR can be created automatically when MRP is carriedout.
Hope this will clarify your query,

Hi,
As per MRP Profile, system will create PR or Planned Order.
In SPRO --> MM --> consumption Based Planning --> Carry out Over All maintenace of MRP Group
Give the Name of the Plant and after that MRP Group 0000 - External Procurement
Here Go creation Indicator ......
Create Purchase Req. 1 Purchase requisitions
While RUN MRP, system will create tha PR for that Plant instead of planned order
Hope Help U !

Yes, MRP either creates planned order or preq depending on settings like open period, firmed elements, resheduling horizon and variants of MD01.
