functional location data to its hierarchy

Hi Gurus,

I have changed the planner group and workcenter for a functional location. the equipments installed at this functional location will get changed as per the hierarchy ie. the data flows from the functional location to its equipments but what i observed is some of the equipments workcenter and planner group got changed and some not. Is there any method to update the data other than this.

Hi,

If eqpt is installed with install with data transfer option then data flows from F.loc to eqpt ..i think some eqpts have not been installed with that option ..

Thanks for the reply. How do find out that any equipment installed at functional location has theoption with data tranfer checked.

Hi,

From equipment (IE02/03) select a particular tab then choose menu option:

Edit - Data origin list

This will show if the relevant fields are individually maintained or inherited from superior equipment or functional location.

Hi Paul

You have mentioned to check for Data Origin from IE02/03 .But same is for individual equipment.Is there a way to find this for a Mass list of Equipments for a Particular Tab like Organization or for a Particular field like Cost center etc

Also while creating an Equipment if we donot maintain a Field , it takes from Functional Location whether we create with Data transfer or directly.Can you tell if there is any Config for controlling this.
