Jive Forums: Link to local file

Hi @all,

we have deployed the Jive forums *.sca's (NW 7.00 / SP18) and now we are testing a little around.

My question:

Is it possible to create a link in a thread to a local file, which can be accessed in the windows explorer?

I tried to create a link with the "file"-operator instead of "http":

file:///C:/11/test.doc

Embedded in a normal html-File and opened in the internet explorer I have direct access to the file, but when I create this as a hyperlink in a portal forums thread, there is no chance to view the file.
