Loading data from flat file to APO at aggregate level Setting help?

Hi all,

Our POS wa defined with 7 Characteristics which includes MAteril and Location numbers. Now we get our history from R/3 at material location level. We have recently created infrstrucuture for loading sales department Forecast which is loaded from Falt fiel to cube and to Planning area. Now Sales Client wants Sales Forecast to be uploaded form Falt file and there is no location number but wanted to load sales forecast to eequal proportions as history get loaded.

Now when I create Flat file how do I define location. Unless some value is there I wont be able to send data into infocube and planning area. AS there is no location for this how do I do my setting in loading data form flat file to cube and than to planning area.

That Is, if I want to Load data from flat file at aggregated material level , so can any advice me how I can define transfer and Update rule with no value on locations and data is loaded only on material level.

Hi,

First you make one DTP with Forecast with one generic location. My meaning to say that this location is dumm location and you can put the blank value or zero value.

Then You make one DTP for Forecast and generic location to the cube which contain Location,prd and forecast data.

Don't transfer the generic location. You just simply transfer and update the forecast to the cube.

I mean to say that you need two info cubes.

1. one with forecast and gneric/zero locATION.

2. 2ND IS AS PER YOUR Data specified.

So first complete these processes and hopeully it will work.
