Initial stock entry in WMS

Hi all,

we have a scenario in which existing sloc stock is to be updated in warehouse which is newly created and assigned to existing plant and sloc.

Plant 1001 and sloc 0001 are having existing stock. New warehouse WH1 is created and assigned to plant 1001 and sloc 0001. Now I need to upload existing sloc stock in WH1. How to do this? As this is not new sloc and wH case, 561 mov will not work.

Please advice.

Thanks and regards,

Sudhir

Create Physical inventory at warehouse level and enter full qunatuty as difference. post the differences in 999 storage type first. Later you can do bin to bin transfer (LT01) from 999 to permenant storage type.

Hope this helps.

You have to follow this steps:

1) before the trasportation of Change Request regarding the warehouse structure, unload the inventory stock with the IM movement 562

2) trasporting CR regarding warehouse structure , create the WMS material master, storage location etc

3) load the inventory stock with IM movement 561 (in this step will be generate TR)

4) create Transfer oder to load warehouse stock in the storage bin

5) delete TR (transfer requirement) created with the movement type 561.

You can do it with a legacy in 3 step. I have done so successfully.

Hi all,

I have the same scenario. However, I could not be successful using the wm inventory method.

I created the inventory document using st 999 using default bin SCHROTT, and entered the available IM stock by counting transaction. When I post the difference using LI20 on the WM side, then I see an 2 bins in 999 stype. One for SCHROTT bin and amount in 1000000003 bin, which is WM inventory document bin.

And if I move the amount in SCHROTT bin to the acctual bin in WM, that part is OK. But, the minus amount in 1000000003 bin remains open, ie uncleared.

thanks

Hi all,

The physical inventory approach can't work here. As physical inventory is not to match the stock in IM and WM but to match the stock in IM/WM with the actual. So whatever difference is there between WM and IM stock, it remains there even after physical inventory.

Only solution that works here is take the stock out of sloc when WM is unassigned and return the stock to sloc with WM assigned.

I have tested the cutover process with this approach and it worked fine.

Create a Dummy SLoc move all the stocks to the dummy SLOC, after that link the original Plant/Sloc to the required Warehouse. Then move the stock from the dummy to the original Sloc. This can be tedious, try with BDC.

Hello,

You are just attaching warehouse WH1 to existing storage location. Hence there is no need to transfer the stock. Storage location will be warehouse managed.

(i)You have to extend warehouse view 1 and 2 for all the material from storage location 0001.

(ii)Use LS01N and define the BIN with storage type 999 and Bin of your choice

(iii)Use WH physical inventory method. OLMLWMActivities PIDefine default values and posting the difference in the BIN

(iv)Follow WH physical inventory method and enter full quantity as difference and post the differences in 999 storage type.

(v)Use LT10 for transferring whole stock to corresponding storage type and BIN

Thanks

Hi

Why not copy st loc 0001 and attach warehouse WH1 to it and then do a sloc to sclo transfer from 0001 to new sloc and stock will appear in warehouse in 920 or 921 (I cannot remember which) Then stock just needs to be located in Warehouse.

You could also move out all of the sloc stock and then move ot back in again and the warehouse should pick it up.

I hope that this helps
