Hello,
has anybody tried to implement a connection to Lotus Notes as described at
?
I am getting a script error when trying to run the initial load
Script error: ActiveX component can't create object: 'MXVBNotes.Domino':Function - OpenListNotes3:Param -
and "Check adminp requests" ist not there after importing the framework.
I am using IDM 7.1 SP3 on MS SQL.
Uwe
Hi Uwe,
have you registered the MXVBNotes.dll and the MXNotes.dll with regsvr32?
other solution: Have you copied the two files into the windows-Folder?
Kind regards,
Achim Heinekamp

Hi Achim,
I have registered MXVBNote.dll without problems but while registering MXnotes.dll the following error occurs:
C:\Windows\MXNotes.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
This file can not be registered.
My dll version are:
MXNotes.dll 7.10.20
MXVBNotes 7.10.0.581
Now I have tried the initial load again and... ye-ha!
Thanks a lot,
Uwe
Hi,
I had exactely the same script error : ActiveX component can't create object: 'MXVBNotes.Domino':Function - OpenListNotes3:Param -
I copied the dll files and registered the MXVBNotes.dll and the MXNotes.dll with regsvr32 with no problemes, I have no ActiveX error but still :
Script error: File not found: u2018CreateObjectu2019:Function - OpenListNotes3:Param u2013
Script error: Object Required: u2018NotesDBu2019:Function u2013 CloseListNotes:Param -
It looks like there is a VB class problem. Any suggestions could be helpful.
Thanks,
Regards

Hi Uwe,
We have here exactly the same problem as yours. Meanwhile I've noticed that the pdf document was last updated in June 2009, but the file download page was created in January 2009.
Mistake by SAP again?

Gee, I have not tried that since MaXware MIC 8.x,
What version of Notes are you using?

Hey, you have tried this before? Cool!
I am using Lotus Notes Client 7.0.3 and Domino Server 8.5.1.
In the documentation, page 21, there is somehing about a key-file name in the notes.in, but nothing about a corresponding parameter. Do you have an example of a note.ini containing all nessesary values?
I am wondering about the properties for the notes repository, too.
Administrator/Domain is not a valid Lotus Note User.
Regards
Uwe
Hi Uwe,
Administrator/Domain is only a placeholder.
You have to enter administratorsname and the corresponding Domain of this account like
AdminIDM/IDM/<company-name>/DE
We have established the connection with notes client 7 and 8.
Have you copied the file "MxExtPWD" to the Notes-Folder?
We have entered only one parameter into the notes.ini:
EXTMGR_ADDINS=MXEXTPWD.DLL
Perhaps you are thinking about the "key.ini" file from the IdentityCenter.
You have to copy that file from Folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\IdM\Identity Center\Key" (maybe your IDM-Installation hierarchie) to folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\IdM\Identity Center".
Try this, maybe this solves your problem.
Kind regards,
Achim Heinekamp
