For some messages if the field is present then there should not be any problem in PI Configuration.
check the payload received from source for the existence of the field ,If its available then get the payload test in mapping to check if the node is formed after mapping.

Just to be sure: where did you add your new field? To source message structure or to the target one? In first case make sure that your SOAP sender system uses the latest WSDL with updated definitions.

I made test in receiver and interface determination for both scenarios the field is missing in interface determination and mapping step. mapping is working fine it assign all source(SOAP) field value to the target (RFC).
any other idea
