PR not created at component level for MRP area of storage location

Dear Expert,

I have run MD01 with scope of planning (MRP area storager location) and system provide me result at MRP area. When performing MD04 at FG level, then system shows me result in MRP area storage location, however, in component level PR not created at MRP area storage location only at plant level. The following I have done in master data;

1. FG

- Assigned MRP area

- Assigned MRP type PD, MRP controller, and Lot sizing EX at MRP area segment

- Assigned Special procurement Both plant level and MRP area Segment

- Availability check 01

- Strategy 40

2. Component

- Assigned MRP area

- Assigned Special procurement Both plant level and MRP area Segment

- Availability check 01

- Strategy 10

- Collective requirement (2)

for individual component I can perform MRP area storage location

My question why system only provide me PR at plant level for my component?

Hi,

Please maintain the storage location in the BOM. After this you will get the required result.

Thanks for your response. I have assigned Production storage location in BOM for both component, in MRP area as well, however PR not coming at MRP area storage location for components. Your advice is badly needed.

Select the "Issue storage location" as '2' here:

spro -> production -> material requirement planning -> mrp groups -> overall maintenance of mrp groups -> overview -> mrp control parameters at material level -> (field) Issue storage location selection

& make sure:

1. In the BOM issue storage location is blank for the components

2. For the FG products , in mrp area prod.storage loc is maintained

3. Components are extended to the mrp area.
