<Node2_Hostname>\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oracle\FailSafe\Server

4 10:32:50 ** WARNING : FS-11081: Node <Node2Hostname> is not available for the specified operation. Operation continuing...

Hi Ranjit,

Can you check wheather IPMP is properly configured ( check with you system team ).

Rather than sap ,can you test the drive which is provided to you for installing SAP is moving proper from 1 node to other node.

It mean you for e.g drive F:\ provided to you for installtion of oracle software and database . Stop SAP & oracle and just try to move the F:\ drive from Node 1 to Node 2 manually . After that Try to shutdown the node on which F:\ drive is there , when OS is getting shutdown the drive F:\ should automatically move to other node .

Try this m if it is working then , Oracle Fail safe should also work.

Any Query pls reply.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for replying.

Issue is resolved. Actually the issue was, windows service "Remote Registry" was disabled due to security Audit in both the nodes. Due to this, Oracle Fail Safe was having problem in detecting the node information, while doing Verify cluster.

After starting the "Remote Registry" service, oracle failsafe started working fine.

Hi Ranjith,

Problem is 10:32:50 ** WARNING : FS-11081: Node <Node2Hostname> is not available for the specified operation. Operation continuing..

FS-11081 Node %s is not available for the specified operation. Operation

continuing...

Cause: Could not run on the specified node because it was not available. The

operation will try to continue on remaining nodes.

Solution: Bring the specified cluster node or cluster service online.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Atil,

While performing verify cluster step, Node 2 is up and running, so why its giving the error as "FS-11081: Node <Node2Hostname> is not available for the specified operation.".

I searched on net, but didn't get any useful solution to this.
