Hi,

I am trying to create a new database in SQL 2008 R2 for the new application "Commentary" information to be stored.

I am trying to connect to a different database than to save all the data in Audit database. I am not able to connect or set up the connections.

Applications--> BI Commentary Application -->Properties-->use other supported database--> type --> Microsoft SQL Server.

Parameters used:

Database Name:

Host:

Port:

Username:

Password:

I have also created a local 32 bit connection on the server, even then I can not connect to the new commentary db.

Did any one face the same problem?

thank you.

Kind rehards,

Sarat.

what was the error? What kind of connection did you create in server? try adding 64bit ODBC driver.

Hi.

Thank you for the message. there was no error but could not connect to the database where the new Commentary database was created.

I did create an 64 bit ODBC connection to SQL database.

Please let me know if you want any more information.

Sarat.
