    NWDS is an IDE that is used for developing different kinds of applications like webdynpro for java,java,J2EE,web services,portal applications and it is a standalone installation with respect to portal.

    The Portal Development Kit (PDK) is an extension of the SAP NetWeaver

    Development Studio and represents a collection of:

    – Development documentation

    – Sample applications providing reference coding

    – Tools for use by developers

    Hi,

    PDK is a business package that is been delivered by SAP.

    NWDS is a IDE tool provided by SAP to develop/modify the applications of PDK, ESS/MSS, custom applications, etc..
