Business Explorer question

Hi all,

May I know the BW tools (Business Explorer module, Query Designer, Bex, BW Add-Ons) inside the SAPGui installer is free to use or not. It needs to purchase another license or it can be installed and used by using the same name user license. As we want to develop some cube, query, workbook in the netweaver BW environment. Thanks.

I think BEx tools are considered as free since you are going to use same username in BW server. Besides, BEx tools is included if you install SAP GUI.

Hey Jason,

As Loed already mentioned, the BEx Suite is free of charge. It's the out of the Box analysis toolset which gets replaced by the BusinessObject Tools. Only the BusinessObject Tools are active supported. They may get some enhancements in functionality over time which reasons the additional licensing.

The BEx Suite is free of charge (no additional license) and will be further bundled with the standard SAP BW in the future. Those tools won't be actively developed/supported. BEx tools provide basic analytic and reporting functions in a bit old fashioned way. (My opinion)
