Mass creation of opportunities

Hi all,

we use CRM 4.0.

Does anyone know how opportunities are mass created based on a template ? According to help.sap.com it should be possible - see this link

but I can't see that it is possible to create opportunity templates. It is only possible to create templates for activities and leads.

We would like to be able to create opportunities based on a template from a campaign. Is this only possible with mobile sales ?

Any suggestions ?
