No Field Data - what did I forget?

Hello,

I'm using CR 11 with a MS SQL 2008 (MS server '08).

I've added some fields to a report (and the view) and I'm having a hard time getting data to display in a couple of the fields when I run the report.

I have:

1) browsed the field data from within CR and the proper data displayed.

2) verified that the field datatype is correct in CR

3) Checked both "convert NULL values to Default" options

4) searched the forums throughly and couldn't find a solution that worked for me.

5) pulled my hair out

I cannot figure out what's going on. Thoughts? Did I forget to do something? Any suggestions would be great.

Thank you,

Mindy

Hi,

Please try to checkm File - Options, click Database Tab.

Tables and Field Options must have , Show Name.

Data Explorer, Tables, View, System tables, Stored Procedure must be check then click ok.

Then try to check the report again.

If this instruction cant help, then check your user privileges from MS SQL Server.

Hi Everyone,

The problem was due to lack of information from my vendor, who invokes CrystalReports through the application (CampusVue). The view that appeared to be used within the report was missleading...and the application has a STORED PROCEDURE

Hello Everyone,

The problem turned out to be lack of information. These reports are served through an application, CampusVue, and although the RPT file said it used a particular view, it actually uses a Stored Procedure that is hard-coded in the application.

Thank you for all of your ideas. Trust me, I tried them all before the vendor responded to my plea for help.

Kindly,

Mindy

Could you be more specific as to what you added, what that was added to, how they were combined, and what is not showing that you are expecting?
