Date format changes when it is published in Business Objects

I am using Crystal Reports XI, I created a line chart with the X axis being the year (2009).

The formula for the year is "ToText(DatePart("yyyy",{VIAUFKST.FTRMI}))";

but when it is published in Business Objects the date format is: 2,009.00.

Our "BI" team does not know what to do.

We are not allowed to publish our reports to Business Objects, so we create the request it to be published, then if we need to edit the report we again have to request that the report be published to Business Objects.

So, this is taking a long time to have it published view it then re-edit it again.

what do I need to do to get the report in Business Objects looking the same as when I edit it Crystal?

Thanks..

    Thanks for all the options. I tried all of them and had each one published to Business Objects.

    The report looks good in Crystal Reports XI, but when it is posted to Business Objects is when the format changes.

    However, the problem is when the report is posted/published to Business Objects XI r2 and not in CR XI

    It is because you are converting the date to text.

    ToText(DatePart("yyyy",{VIAUFKST.FTRMI}));

    You can create 2 formulas date1, date2

    date1

    ToText(DatePart("yyyy",{VIAUFKST.FTRMI}))

    date2

    {@date1}

    Once you paste the date2 formula, you will be able to modify the number display for date2 using format field

    Try the following formula: It works as I just tested it.Please replace the {Orders.order Date} with your date field.

    replace(left(totext(year({Orders.Order Date})),5),',','')

    I tried all three suggestions, but when it is published in Business Objects the date format is still: 2,009.00.

      Please make you chart as Numeric Axis.

      Right Click on the chart and select Chart Expert from the context menu.

      Go to the Type tab. Select Numeric Axis.

      In the Right handside panel which displays different types of Numeric Axis Charts, Select "Date Axis Bar Chart".
