GL Mapping

Hi Gurus,

I had deleted the expense GL Mapping for a Chart of Accounts. But when I had done the posting. It is throwing an error and when I had checked the log, it is showing that the deleted expense Symbolic account is appearing there, not understand why it is appearing when I had deleted it. Actually it should not come in the posting as I had deleted the mapping of that symbolic account.

Please suggest me ASAP as it is a production issue.

once it get posted then next time system will search the same symbolic a/c if it will go for retro payroll run.

idealy you can remove this symbolic a/c from wage type assignment not from symbolic a/c to GL mapping in expense A/c.

you can assign new symbolic a/c to that wage type and assign this new symbolic a/c to the GL as per your requirement.

when posting will happen system will search for earlier posting it will get the old symbolic a/c, new payment will be through new symbolic a/c.

If you have deleted the GLmapping (symbolic account) after the posting to finance, then it throughs an error. However if you wanted to change it you can delimit the symbolic account.

I mean you might have done the posting run before deleting the symbolic account. delete the posting run and then re run the posting run with your new symbolic account configuration.
