please have a look at the Year-end closing guide which is avaiable for download from the [DRC|service.sap.com/smb/sbo/documentation]. Currency considerations are dealt with on pages 25 & 26.

Did you had a look at Financials / Exchange Rate Differences and Conversion Differences transactions ?
