How can I join a text field (Firm) from database 1 with a date field (Order Date) from database 2
Hopefully you have some thing to join the two database's with.
Open your report, database, create new connection, select database 2,
go to the links tab and link the two databases.
then create a formula
& " " & {Order Date}
This will join the fields with a blank in the middle, if you want a --- or something then just do this.
& " --- " & {Order Date}
